My friend Amy started knitting about six weeks ago. This is the first project she made. I think it is an excellent first project. It is simple, attractive, and quick. Today I taught Amy some knew knitting skills (via Skype), and she has begun her first hat. She showed me her completed Wham Bams, and it looked like so much fun, I decided to make one. 2011 was a terrible knitting year for me. Work kept me so occupied, I hardly did any knitting. Hopefully a quick, fun project will get me off to a better knitting year in 2012!
