Notes

Because I have enough needles, I’m doing it one piece rather than 2. I have a ½”-13 X3’ threaded rod in place of my Bond weight bars in my rag hem. I can use it alone for the stockinet sections.

I’m using the wire guide carriage to help with the tucks. I’ve found that forking the tucking needles to WP and moving the weights up before selecting the next set of tucking needles helps avoid dropping sts. I know that doesn’t make sense, but it’s working better this way. I also go slow enough that I can get my single prong tool in to hold the yarn down for the working needle immediately after the tucking needle if needed.

Came out about 2.5” narrower than planned. I assume that’s due to the weight I had to use on the actual project vs. what I used on the swatch.

Next time I will use KP 4 for the tuck section and KP 3.5 for the rest. I will try to go down to the Knitsmart KP 15 instead of KP 1 for the bottom of the foot section.
