Notes

For men’s foot that is 11” long - I’m a loose knitter and the way this sock is constructed, it ends up gigantic in circumference. For the first sock I started with the second smallest size, but when I got to the bottom of the first foot, my husband (who has size 14 feet that are about 11.75” long) tried on the sock and it was a bit big for him even. So I ripped the foot back and decreased down to 58 stitches, decreasing two more stitches before the toe.

I kept track of the rows after the heel decreases: 60 rows before toe decreases. On the first sock I decreased every other row until 20 stitches remained, for the second foot I started with 60 stitches (the smallest size in this pattern), then decreased to 58 for the foot. At the toe I did the first two rounds of decreases with two knit rows instead of one, and then switched to every other row until 20 stitches remained.

I knit the foot to 8.5” from the end of the heel. The toe is about 1.5”. I knit 12 rows for the cuff ribbing and 2” for the leg.
