Yarn from Debbie’s stash. She was going to make a sweater with a small cable running up the fronts and back with a seed st background. I frogged the sleeves and the start of the body to make this sweater that matched the yarn better.

The yarn has a marled variegated look that obscured the cables. This plain pattern will suit the yarn better. I remember her buying the yarn at the Hen House(in Houston on Louetta. Now closed) for the original sweater. I think it was a wool or wool blend and maybe a Berroco brand. She removed all the labels, so I do not have all the information.
