Carry/hold yarn between sides as color is worked.

Knit MC, slip CC color following pattern stitch to end of row, then slide stitches back to beginning of row, Purl CC, slip MC following pattern stitch in reverse to end of row = one row worked. This creates mirrored front/back pattern.

Because it’s double knit - think of it as knitting two blankets in one - takes longer. Similar effect as holding two strands together throughout, but creating a more pillowy effect with Pattern stitch. MC on one side, CC on opposite side.
