Knitting method

Rib, wave, foot, and toe sections knit TAAT. The waves were on 2.5mm needles and the rest of the sock on 2.25mm needles.

Intarsia and heel sections knit 1@AT using the magic loop technique.

Intarsia tension

I had trouble with uneven tension around the intarsia edges, but the ‘simple fix’ and ‘neater edges’ tips (in the links above) improved this considerably.

Mirroring socks

I hoped to do this, but failed. I found it difficult to gain an intuitive understanding of how mirroring works. I did attempt bustapearl’s method (link above) but I lacked confidence in what I was trying to do. I decided to abandon mirroring for now, but forum links that might be helpful are saved here for future use.
