I adapted a pattern for the stranded braid, but must find out which one to add in these notes.
The crown is my design.

I started with a long tail alternated 1/1 cast on, using two strands of each yarn, pulling from the middle and the outside of the ball. I love the edge it got me, even if pausing a couple of time interrupted the pattern a little bit (I must have crossed my strands or something).
Then knit one white, purl one black for a few rounds.
Then the braid.
The stranded motive.
The striped crown.

It is very rare I knit a hat that is exactly my size!
I wear this hat a lot. I like the strong contrast in neutral colours, the fit and the originality of the design I came up with combining all the parts.
