My mother-in-law took Kuno, one of the two Suri alpacas at the Bobcat Alpacas farm here in Edinburgh, for a walk - and fell in love! So of course she wished to wear a shawl made from his fleece. This yarn is a blend of Kuno and Bijou, a white Huacaya alpaca from the same herd.

I used up three balls of 50g, which is about 540m for this shade - more than the pattern and most of the other projects states. The yardage given for the yarn might be slightly off though, coming from a small mill. Or I knitted looser - but the shawl didn’t get any bigger than stated in the pattern.
I skipped a few rows at the top, between the top border eyelets because I didn’t have much yarn left.

My mother-in-law loves it! It suits her much better than me (in pictures), and she loves the warmth of the alpaca fibre.
