2014_12_21 Cast on as we crossed the border into Ohio. I’ve never done the Italian Provisional Cast On, but a quick YouTube video schooled me. Observation: an easy cast on; should probably do that from here on out for 1x1 rib.

The size 0 dpns are TINY. tiny. I keep feeling like I’m going to snap them.

2014_12_26 Kept at these while visiting family in Ohio. And again in the car ride back to Denver. I’m just about finished with the colorwork on one mitt.

2014_12_27 Finished up one mitt. The color change on the Chroma is long, so this one is mostly green. The second one is knitting up in this really deep blue color - love. The second one is moving along a bit quicker than the first. Oh, and the kitchener rib bind off - um, yeah, a bit fiddly and I had to watch 2 different demonstration videos to make any sense of it. But this is a really nice bind off! Why have I NOT done this one before?

2015_1_7 Finished these up tonight! My first mitt is definitely looser than the other, probably because I wasn’t really used to stranded colorwork. No matter. I’ll block the other one to size. This was really fun and I really like my mitts!
