favorite colors? - The kind of blue that you get from indigo: nightsky and dark denim. The greyish color of natural linen. Taupe. Grey. The dark black brown of some kinds of undyed sheep wool. bittersweet chocolate brown. Black. (loathe neon and pastel colors)

favorite yarn(s)? Blue Moon Raven Clan-Twisted (colorway Haida, aran weight, amazing off-black indigo), also Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted (M-290 Silver Streaks at Nite, another amazing off-black), and the discontinued Noro Kureyon color #195 (navy indigo black grey and bronze)

Basically, I like wool, with a slight preference for plied rather than singles, aside from Noro, I prefer solid or kettle-dyed subtlety rather than highly varigated and colorful

tiny tools or notions? - blunt tip yarn needles, really, these just keep on going walkabout (did anyone else read The Borrowers as a child?), and tiny notion boxes or pouches

allergies?
fiber - I pretty much only knit with natural fibers - wool, silk, alpaca, though I have used some sock yarn that was wool blended with nylon. Unless they start making yarn from cedarbark or hazelnut, I have no fiber allergies.
food - food is not really a fjorlief treat, I’m working on losing weight. I am very allergic to cherries and hazelnut. I do not like chocolate, cheese with blue mold, or vinegary things. Marzipan is a special treat, and rosewater is a delightful flavoring.
smelly things - mostly not… I am okay with actual lavender, and amber resin, but things like potpourri, or natural moth sachets can have cedar, or floral things in them that can set off some of my respiratory allergies.

The bestest little gift you’ve ever gotten
(you mean besides the baby Akita puppy that grew up to be Smokey?)… Small pieces of extra special fabric for embellishment or decor - I have a real weakness for indigo dyed Japanese textile bits, have a maneki-neko noren that was a gift from a dear now departed friend, and a shibori noren between my studio and my kitchen. My sister went to London and brought me back a fat quarter of Liberty Lawn in “my colors”.

favorite animal(s), motifs, or themes? -
I am fond of maneki-neko, as well as akita dogs and fjord ponies/dala horses. My house has rather a surfeit of acorns, for obvious reasons…

special “kitchen colors” ?
Though I do tend to paint all aspects of my life in my beloved blue/grey/indigo/taupe, my kitchen has warm tomato-y red (think cinnabar rather than crayola) as an accent color, so anything in any combination of those colors would be a real treat.
