I knitted one single mitten (as requested) with the two yarns together. It truly takes a couple of hours. I need to felt the mitten and I am curious about the final color. Easy pattern to follow, although I don’t like to knit with those big needles…. I used 56 grams for one mitten. I have 74 grams left of Lookout Ledge and 75 grams left of The Deep End, plenty for another mitten for sure, with leftovers.
On Saturday night , October 25th I knitted the second mitten and on Sunday morning I felted both . I put the mittens in two separate lingerie zippered bags. I did the first wash hot ( with cold rinse) with other clothes and items. I run the washload and mittens through the dryer. Still not perfectly felted, so I did a second hot / cold wash just with the mittens. I shortened the cold cycle of the rinse and spin as they were felted enough and did not put them through the dryer a second time. They dried naturally.
After I knitted the two mittens, I had 47 and 45 grams of yarn left, almost enough for another pair. I knitted a medium so maybe a small would do.
