Notes

major changes to the pattern!

the blanket (cabled baby blanket) as written was way way too narrow for what the blanket is intended.

i ended up casting on 2x the number of stitches specified in the pattern. i then added 2 panels of a criss cross cable on either side and a 4x4 cable in between the two blanket sections. the moss stitch panels on either side of the blanket was increased to 16 from 6.

blanket will either be knit to either at least 5 inches beyond width or 5 skeins of yarn are used, whichever comes first.

9/19

i completely started from scratch. it was too wide this time and i didn’t like the staghorn cables, they looked way too loose. i ended up doubling the blanket again, subtracting out the staghorns except for one that became the center panel, and turned some of the 8 stitch basic cables into coin cables. i decreased the number of bottom hem rows and decreased the moss stitch edge on the sides by 10 stitches. the blanket should still be wide enough since the cables within it are now less intensive. i also bought more yarn to make sure that i have enough to finish the project.
