I love wearing this tunic! The relaxed fit and drape make it comfortable and easy to move around in. The sleeves have a soft bell shape but they are cropped so they don’t get in the way. It flatters my figure by accentuating the bust, floating away from the belly and the contrast V neckline draws the eye up. I also love the exposed seams and raw edge details that help me express my bohemian nature. The silk noil yarn I used is super soft, has a lovely nubby texture, tonal color and subtle sheen. I truly love working with this yarn. It is lightweight enough to be worn in warmer weather but I have also worn it on colder days with a long sleeved shirt under it. When I wear my Lula Mae tunic I feel comfortable and confident!
Knitting notes: The loose gauge made this project move pretty quickly. Alternating skeins was new to me but was not difficult and prevented pooling. I really had to pay attention while picking up the first two strips along the neckline to make sure I got the right number of stitches (detailed instructions made it simple enough) but after those the neckline strips are easy because you’re picking up every stitch in the previous strip. There were quite a few ends to weave in but the result is totally worth it.
-The main needle used was a US 6/ 4mm. The other sizes are used for trims.
