Ordered yarn today to make a sweater with my friend Joanne. I have done all the math to adapt
bergen stranded design to a strange brew.
Feb.12
Started with corrugated ribbing but didn’t look good so that got frogged. Cast on the body and have finished the a plain body. decided not to do steek stitches in the ribbing. Fair isle on sleeves. and ready to do the yoke.
March
The yoke is finished, it fits and I am waiting now to have a few quiet moments to cut the steek.

April
It is done and I am pleased. The steeking was easy, I machine stitched and them cut. I am glad I did not need to cut the neck and bottom band, knit both back and forth. Made for a nice join. Did I-cord bind off on bands in .25 larger needle, and did it around the bottom and top Of the button band to fill in. Worked out well. I need to plan the cutting the pattern on a sweater when making it to a cardigan but other than that all good and it fits. I would add a couple of plain stitches at the steek where the fairisle part is for easier pick up of the button band. Note to self.
