My first-ever sweater! Inspired by HaleyKnits’ absolutely gorgeous version of Boreal, I decided that this should kick off my sweater craze. Since I was already back at college when I discovered the pattern, it took me a couple months to finish, but overall, it wasn’t too difficult! I did have to redo the neckline, though, after it ended up being far too loose. Now it’s too tight--I hadn’t yet learned about Elizabeth Zimmerman’s sewn bindoff, which seems a much better option for sweater necks.

I held the Cherry Tree Hill double. Also didn’t do the edges in the contrasting color. Plan to add a couple inches to the sleeves if you have average-length arms; the pattern calls for them to be quite short! I kind of wish I had added an inch to the body itself as the sweater could be slightly longer.
