Notes

My work secret santa gave me these two skeins of Purl Soho Line Weight yarn. She’s on our creative team and not surprisingly nailed it with these two amazing colors.

As it sounds, it is super light weight. I had to put on my ‘thinking cap’ to come up with something that I could enjoy as soon as it was off the needles but was appropriate for cold NYC days.

A reversible hat. You need a light weight yarn if you don’t want a bulky reversible hat and Line Weight is wool so it lends itself to warmth.

This hat is made top down back to top. You end up with a football-ish shaped…shape and then put one end into the other. I also added a little stranded work at the ‘brim’ so that it peeks out no matter which side you have facing out.

Note: I made it a bit too big and felted it a bit in the dryer to size it down some. As an added bonus, it is now a bit warmer/more windproof. Not taking the time to check your gauge isn’t always a bad thing :)
