Notes

494 yards is a lot of yarn. 2 Skeins with 494 yards is a whole lotta yarn. I finished The Hat in the Hat and had so much leftover, matching mitts were in order.

Pretty much the same as The Hat in a Hat in construction, color work, light felting etc. I used a size 2 on the thumb to make it a bit tighter.

With the mitt, you turn the tube inside out first and then stuff one side into the other. Make sure you knit your thumbs on the same side :)

I seamed the two layers at the top of the mitt and the top of thumbhole. I could have gotten fancy with and done some provisional cast ons and kitchner bind-offs….but I didn’t.

Great for chilly days, over gloves on really chilly days, or if you keep the thermostat low in your home or office.

Also, I still have a decent amount of each yarn leftover…..
