i knit up one skein i.e. 328 yds and the pattern didn’t work for me. it had been worrisome for some time, didn’t look like it would lay flat, but i kept knitting. when i finished 1 skein, which took me to rnd 81, i bo to see if my worries were true, and sure enough it did not lay flat even though it had the ‘rule of thumb’ min # of st: 4 x rnd# i.e. 324st. so i frogged it even though it was pretty

started anew i started this again increasing to x12 instead of the original x6, everything else is the same.

the top 3 photos were taken after i BO on rnd 89 (2.5 skeins - approx 850yds). the pattern doesn’t seem to work as a circle but perhaps an open semi circular shawl, parasol, stool cover…?
