this is a very cool pattern and i’d like to knit it up but it ‘eats’ yarn:
1 skein - i knit 8 rows of garter st plus i knit most of row 8b (out of 293 + 8 more rows of garter st). at this rate it would take 35-40 skeins, so i’m frogging it.

just fyi:
i attempted this with sport wt yarn on 5.5mm needles; when i frogged it - after 1 skein - it measures approx 60in x 3.5in

• imo it would make a very nice throw, even though it would require a lot of yarn
• i think this would be very nice using lace wt yarn.
