i really like this yarn, unfortunately it’s been discontinued and i was a skein short :( after looking for days for a stray skien i realized i had to improvise, and i actually think it came out nice. the change of color works - sort of like the whitish tip some animals have on their tails:)

the shawl is knit with bamboo sock yarn; i wanted to keep with bamboo and i found cotton/bamboo blend at stickchick.etsy.com i was thinking of dying it but then i remembered i had some dark silver green cotton thread, so in keeping of the “spirit of” the sock yarn i ran them together and i think it help with the transition between the 2 different colors, connecting them a bit more, creating less of a “sharp edge”.

anyway when i block it i’ll post more pictures. i don’t believe the pict does it justice it’s a surprisingly beautiful pattern - i say this because i had no real idea what to expect from looking at the chart, but when i bo and looked at it i was so so pleasantly surprised:) another beautiful pattern by mmario!
