well this turned out huge! and lovely :)

measures: 8ft across

yarn: it took around 3000 yds.
i started with 20 skeins (137yd/2740yds) of “sky blue” and have less than ½ skein left.
the edge: i used around ⅔ skein of each color
- approx 80-100yds of each: “anemone”, “emerald” and “neon blue”

BO: used approx 40-50yds of “silky beige” knit 1 rnd than:
- i used a hybrid /combo technique i made up by modding elements from the picot & russian bo methods:

-- k1, leave this st on the lf needle instead of dropping it, slip the new st back onto the lf (a ‘knit increase’) then
-- k these 2 st together “through-the-back”.
-- you now have 2 st on the rt needle, knit these 2 st together ‘through-the-back’

note - regarding the edging created between rnds 247-255:
- on rnd 248 i picked up more than one loop on the sts created by “o” on 245 (& bo on rnd 247). this gave the edging more strands of yarn connecting rnds 247 & 248.
