Notes

The pattern is very detailed and to the point. If one reads all the instructions, the pattern is not difficult at all to follow.
The designer puts alot of effort into making sure the knitter understands the pattern and has very minimal issues in completing it. Also, she links some videos for extra help.
I am very impressed with her work!
I look forward to knitting more of her designs.

I did a turkish cast on, as i do when i make socks bottom up with 5mm interchangeable needles with a cable that is approximately 95 centimeters long.

I continued the pattern using magic loop method. I changed my LH needle to 3.5mm at around round 15, in order that my RH needle slips easier into the LH needle when i do SSSK etc.

The yarn used is 50/50 cotton/linen. The quantity used is above mentioned.

I made the large size resulting in the dimensions of 230cm by 83cm. I did a second blocking, stretching the shawl more vertically. I believe it is better.

I chose to do the stretchy bind off instead of the channel island bind off. The channel island bind off created not very neat picots, as my yarn splits.

The stretch bind off is much neater.

I started with light fingering in black, but changed my mind and decided to use worsted Cotton/ linen blend in natural colour.

It is more of a summer yarn as well as the stitch definition is much clearer.

I like using markers at every change and every repetition. It prevents most mistakes, as I also count the stitches to make sure they are correct.
