Jan 10: Gave up trying to finish it for Christmas. Next date is her birthday in a week and a bit… And if I fail that deadline, then Mother’s Day!

71g of yarn left after finishing escalator layer.
67g left after garter band between layers 4 and 5.
51g after star layer.
45g left after final garter band.
42g after 2 rows final layer.

Finsihed except for blocking on the 20th of January. Used k2tog tbl for the bind off.

108g yarn in shawl. 25g left in ball.

Wasn’t that overwhelmed by it when I took it off the needles but blocking has made me really like it, everything just needed opening up. I was worried that it was too small as well, but blocking has sorted that out too.
