Pink needle is “needle 1”, round ends after working silver needle 2.
I liked the magic cast on. I remember trying it once before but I know I was using DPNs, so maybe that made it feel more difficult.

Didn’t switch to smaller needles for brim, just kept going. Knitted plain for 7.5” then decided on 2x2 rib, just because I like the way it looks. Thinking about making a bow for one ear.

I ended up putting in stitches similar to the KitKat Hat just to make the ears pointier, at Ella’s request.
