Notes

This was a super fast project and the pattern was well written and exactly correct. :)

The only thing about this pattern is that it works up on the small size. I’m sure they will fit my niece, who is a young teen, but for an adult, I might use a larger hook (I used a 4.25mm) or add one stitch pattern increase for width. I might also add one more row of the pattern at the top of the hands, just before the scallop row.

The yarn (Patons Metallic) is really pretty and luxurious looking…makes a very nice finished project. The only reason I didn’t give it 4 stars is that I think it might be a bit prone to snag. ;)

The project is complete except to weave in ends and steam block just a tad.

Update 9/29/13: I have realized that part of the reason these mitts are so snug is because the yarn I used (Patons Metallic) has absolutely no stretch to it. I undid the beginning knot and added several chains, then re-anchored to help with the difficulty in slipping the mitts on…works much better now.

The ends are woven and the project is all done. :)
