20 August: put this bad boy on the loom. there were some interesting tangles in the warp (too many threads in my hand) and one of my columns is wrong (dddll instead of ddlll) but it’s fine.

21 August: weaving two variations per square, just to get as many samples as possible.
Row 1 is D/L then L/D
Row 2 is DD/LL then one pick of yellow to mix up the sheds, then LL/DD
Row 3 is DD/L then LL/D
Row 4 is 4D/4L, one pick of yellow, then 4L/4D
Row 5 is 3D/1L then 3L/1D
Row 6 is 3D/2L then 3L/2D
Row 7 is D/L/DD/L then L/D/LL/D

I showed the gamp to Martin and asked him to pick his favorite row for a scarf. He told me he didn’t expect it to be so hard to decide, so I think his scarf will be all of them, in a rosepath-pattern like mine.
