May 26/22: c.o. last night

May 28/22: didn’t work on this at all yesterday, but have completed two repeats of Section I now (out of a total 10, as per the last time I made this).

May 31/22: made it to repeat 5 last night. It’s possible I won’t work on this at all today, given that I’ll be in Toronto to visit with dad. Update: I should be able to complete a repeat by end of day, after all. I’ve been working on one for just under 3 hours now.

Jun 4/22: just completed my tenth repeat last night and am working my way towards the corner. I had forgotten how this knits up and am stoked about how close to done I actually am!

Jun 7/22: of the post-corner repeats (need 3 and a bit in total), I’m 1 and a bit in. Update: should be able to get to 2 and a bit repeats by the time I pack it in for the evening.

Jun 10/22: buried dad today, after his passing on the 8th (Wednesday). I’m not beating myself up about it, but I haven’t been able to put in the final (partial) repeat yet.

Jun 11/22: completed the colourwork! Only have 314 sts on that needle, despite the pattern claiming I should have 375. I’ll just have to try to match it on the other side. Have just 4g left of white on the third ball and will update my total to say I’ve completed 3 balls.

Jun 13/22: was able to bind off last night! The shawl is soaking now. Update: I do love a hot, dry day. The shawl is done blocking and is waiting in ‘Tuna’s room for their return from school.
