Jan 15/17: c.o. yesterday (28>56>72) for first toe, began second. Will work on these until I can order/receive yarn for dad’s cardi.

Jan 19/17: managed to begin the colourwork sections yesterday. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy seeing these worked up.

Jan 21/17: turned both heels last night. I began the charts for the legs this morning.

Jan 26/17: just about to begin the wave motif, just before the cuff.

Jan 27/17: in the cuff now.

Jan 28/17: after knitting up the cuffs last night, completing the sewn bind-off and weaving in ends, I turned the socks right-side-out and discovered that I had forgotten to flip the chart to create the left sock. So, that happened. Ah well, they’re beautiful, warm and done so I’m calling this project a success. :)

Feb 14/17: after just three machine-washings, these fulled so much that I had to give them to Kara. Given the rate they’re shrinking at, they should fit her perfectly in another two washings. Mental note: Hot Socks Neon shrinks too much in the wash.

Nov 19/17: these poor, doomed socks didn’t even make it a full year before being sent to the donation bin. They shrank enough that even Kara didn’t feel comfortable in the heel. May they find a loving home.
