I was commissioned to copy the Beardo Hat for a toddler. So I did that. The beard pattern was a little confusing, but it ended up being so adorable and such a quick knit that I couldn’t even mind.

Row 2 should read: k1, k2together, YO, K1, k2together, YO, K2 (instead of K1 as it is on the pattern).

Row 13 contains an 8 stitch bind off for the mouth hole, which is then completed in Row 14 with 8 cast on stitches, which is not clear.

Row 20 instructs decreasing until 3 stitches remain, which I took to mean total stitches, but really just 3 stitches before the end of Row 20 to match the beard shaping on the other side.

A couple read throughs, though, and I got it.

March 2015 - I was commissioned to make a pink slouchy version, so I also did that. This time I attached it with snaps and knit it in 2 color bee stitch.
