Worked cuffs in two-row stripes using feather-and-fan pattern from shawl but knitting YOs through back loop.

Stripes end with orange in pattern, plain row, then orange only with decs not incs. Then three plain rows, then thumb increases start.

9 increases (i.e. 18 sts increased), take 21 sts for thumb, inc 3 over the gap for the hand.

25 (?) rounds for hand. Offset by 5 stitches for decreases at end - work decreases until 22 sts remain.

Thumb starts on 24 (21 held sts + 3 picked up), 2 rnds plain, 2 decreases every other rnd twice (with three plain in between at pick up place). 15 rounds plain. Dec 2 sts at pick up side, then 4 sts around 3 consecutive rows.
