I love the textures on this skirt!

The knitting became somewhat repetitive after a while but it was worth it for the end result. I’m looking forward to giving this skirt a lot of wear over winter.

Notes while knitting:

I’ve had my eye on this skirt for a while and I’m looking forward to casting it on but first, it’s time to swatch!

Using 8 ply Bendigo Woollen Mills in the Luxury base and comparing with other similar projects I swatched on 4mm (flat rather than in the round).

Unblocked: 20s x 26r

Tip: before doing a provisional cast on, make sure you know how to do one :) I stuffed up my crochet provisional cast on and had to do surgery to release my stitches.

The first few rounds in pattern took a lot of concentration but with progress it’s become easier to know what I’m doing. I’m loving the consideration that has been put in to this pattern as there are little details involved that make it a very pleasing project.

I adjusted the frequency of increases due to my different gauge.

For the bind off I used the larger needle.
