I was going to do size 2, but struggled to meet gauge with this yarn. I was too tight on the needles the pattern called for and tried to size up a needle, but didn’t like the material. I did some math and decided to go down one needle size and make the size 3 garment. I followed all of size 3 directions except for lengths - I followed directions for size 2. I’m super happy with the fit.

I did a wet block after joining in the round.

I did the neck and one arm hole ribbing before doing most of the body.

I did a steam block after doing the one arm hole and neck ribbing which really opened up the stitches. I was a little worried at first that my arm hole was going to be too tight, but it opened up nicely. I picked up 98 stitches for my arm holes which is between size 2 and size 3. It ended up being about picking up 2 out of 3 stitches.

I knit to about 10.5” inches from the under arm before starting the ribbing expecting it to get a little longer after the final blocking.
