Corner to corner stashbuster. We bought two Ikea POÄNG chairs a couple of years ago, only to discover we hadn’t actually bought ourselves a pair of nice new chairs, we’d bought two rather expensive cat beds. As the cats love them so much and spend all night on them, I decided to get busy with washable blankets.

I used up odds and ends of 4ply sock yarn, holding two strands together. When I ran out of one colour, I’d drop one strand and bring in another, so some of the stripes are quite soft transitions, others are much bolder. The two strands give it a very tweedy look.
