I cast on the first sock while we were on the houseboat on Lake Powell. Since this is the second sock from Cat’s book, I now know to do all my measurements in the beginning to make life easier.

I cast on the Judy’s Magic Cast on and found my gauge. Then I decided to knit a standard toe. After knitting 4 inches, I realized that I had to make the Simple Master Coriolis pattern because I didn’t knit the star toe. The star toe is needed for the Spirling Coriolis because you can position the heel any place on the sock.

I really liked doing the Coriolis arch expansion. I knit the reinforced heel. I really like how the reinforced heel fits and feels on my heels. I knit the leg straight garden variety stockinette for 5 inches. Then knit 15 rows of 2x1 ribbing. I bound off with EZ sewn off bind off. I really like the look of this sock. Now I’m on the second sock.

8/1 I started knitting the second sock again. I had to put it down for about a month to finish up my grand daughter’s blanket. I have my priorities. lol

9/12. I finished sock #2. Thank goodness for airplane knitting for boring stockinette! I love the fit and the feel of Panda Cotton.
