Notes

This is a simple garter stitch scarf with fringe made at the beginning and end of each row (a la Cheryl Oberle’s Ruana of Truth from Folk Shawls). I had these skeins left over from another project and decided to completely destash them and use it all in this scarf.

Cast on was 250 stitches on US 8/40” circulars. I didn’t measure it off the needles, but best eyeball guess is 14” wide by 6’ long. The final result was a scarf with a lovely drape, very soft.

The name came because switching from the browns to the blues reminded me of the cyclical changes of a riverbed, from wet to dry and back again.

Total project time: 1 week of lazy knitting.
