I’m using various colours of Stylecraft DK from my stash…a great way of using up all those scraps.

To achieve a 4ins square I needed 5 rounds of granny’s and making 3XL size to produce an M. I want to be able to close the front so making this a size up from my normal small.

BACK
Large square=28 rounds
Small square =7 rounds

HOOD
6 Granny Squares
9 Rows Granny’s each side (18 total) giving 3ins either side.
Sewed seam on wrong side using inside loops.
Attached hood using same method.

SLEEVES
Large square 10 rows
Small square 5 rows

4 rows at cuff
16 rows to shoulder including join row… 3 increases (23 clusters)

Turned out bigger than I would have liked so added buttons to make it double breasted. The tassels are to locate the correct button hole.
