Notes

This shawl was knit as part of a KAL at the Fox Valley Spinning Guild; the pattern is from Spin-Off magazine, Spring 2008. The yarns are various hand-spun yarns left over from other projects. Fiber content is Icelandic, Corriedale, llama, alpaca, & bunny. The number of garter ridges per stripe are random Fibonacci numbers. I found it to be an easy, quick to knit project and plan to make another. Completed January 2010.

Danish Tie Shawl #2 - Winter 2013-14; Handspun Coopworth in Aqua, Teal, Brown; Make one increases, instead of YOs used on previous shawl. Ginger approves - the colors match her collar. :-) Completed January 2014.

Danish Tie Shawl #3 - Winter 2014-15 Marble Chunky colorway MC8; made for Amanda. My daughter loved the pattern, but did not want a heavily stripey design. This yarn has subtle color changes that blend beautifully into each other giving a more muted effect. Completed March 2015.

Danish Tie Shawl #4 - Winter/Spring 2014; Yarn from Black and Blue Colorway Striped Shawl Kit; made for Larissa. My daughter loved the yarn, but not the horizontal striping of the pattern in the kit, so I knit it up in the Danish Tie Shawl pattern, which slants the rows diagonally toward the center.

These are very warm, cozy, and comfortable to wear, & frequently used for costume wear.
