Notes

Yarn held double throughout.

Corners:
Chained 1 in the corners instead of 3 chain.
Ended/started each round with
sc, 2ch instead of hdc, ch 3.

Edging at top of Bag: See photo
Reverse single crochet into top of each fpdc and ch 1 over each back post around top of bag.
i.e. reverse sc, chain 1 around top of bag.

Lining:
My squares measured 10 inches a side. I cut the 2 x 10 inch equilateral triangles so that all sides would marry with the squares when sewn together. I then split them down the middle and inserted a rectangle piece (see photos) and gathered the bottom in so that it again measured 10 inches. I gathered the top of the triangle slightly so that the bag had extra room at the top.

I used iron on interfacing for all lining pieces.

I sewed the rose as I folded it and then sewed all 3 together before sewing to bag.
