4/3 OK, I give up, when I start having dreams about the darn project it’s time to cast on already without finishing up more WIPs. I think I will not string the beads until I get to section 7… I think I will just live with breaking the yarn a fair bit to string more beads because 5000 beads is just way too many to have on the yarn and work with at one time.

7/6 There is what I believe is a mistake on row 31 of the Madeira pattern. I think this one should be K2, K2tog, YO, K4, K2tog, YO, K2. It’s not symmetric otherwise with the leaf on the other side. Anyway, I’m doing it my way, and I like the way it looks.

7/14 OK, the mistake actually starts on row 30, sigh. After tinking back three rows I have resolved the issue. The important thing to note is that by this point you should be decreasing the size of the leaf, so single K2tog in this row should be just before the end of the leaf part of the pattern, not the background part of the pattern. If you do it properly then the next row the leaf part naturally had two knits and a decrease and the not-leaf part naturally has four knits and a decrease, obviously with the YOs after the decreases separating the leaf and not-leaf parts.

8/4 I started the beaded section this past weekend. This part is going to be time consuming. At this point I think I’ve used about 300 yards of yarn (the official yardage on Sundara fsm is way too low).
