Notes

This yarn is delightful to knit with. After knitting with a merino wool, this is a soft yarn and it glides well on my bamboo needles. This will be an easy knit.

I do have to say that I can easily get bored with knitting stockinette stitch. However, this is the design and the yarn my daughter Andrea chose for a christmas present, so I’m enjoying it nevertheless. I do have have to say that once in a while, the yarn can be “prickly” if your skin is super sensitive. It could be the alpaca, but I’m not sure.

9/16 - I must’ve miscounted the number of stitches when I made the gauge because I ended up with an oversized back piece. I didn’t realize how big it was until I was ready to block it. Sigh. I just need to rip it out and start all over again--a few weeks’ worth of my time wasted.

12/19 - Finished. Finally!!! After that fiasco with the back, I couldn’t wait to finish this cape. There were times where it started to get boring with all the stockinette stitches I needed to do. I had to just stop and start a new project in between. I was a bit disappointed to find out that the yarn was not as next-to-skin soft as I thought it would be.
