03Oct09: I finally blocked this shawl. What an amazing difference! I’m very happy with it.

21July09: Finished! I used almost exactly 3 skeins. 46 rows plus sc along the top.

10Jun09: Just shy of 28 rows when I ran out of yarn from my first skein. I need to wind the other two skeins and then move forward. So I’m at least a third of the way done now. I still need to refer to the instructions just to make sure that I’m doing the right increase on the right row, but otherwise it’s flowing pretty smoothly.

22May09: 14 Rows done. I understand the pattern now. I’ll still need to refer to the pattern sheet each row to make sure I’m getting the increases correct, but I understand how it works now.

17May09: Getting caught up on my other projects, so decided to put a little bit of time into this one. Finished through row 10. This pattern certainly requires quite a bit of concentration. I’m beginning to get a feel for the pattern, but not well enough yet that this is easy to do while watching/listening to something else.

1May09: Frogged my other shawl and started up this shawl tonight. This will be my Charms OWL for the Harry Potter House Cup Group.

I fail at not starting additional large projects.

With the experience from my other shawl, I decided to go with a G hook. I’m happy with this size, although slightly tempted to go to an H hook.
