The main character in the show Moone Boy wears a colorwork knit hat which I will be recreating for my nerd wars dissertation for T9. ::gulp:: Wish me luck!

Charted. Upon close inspection, the colorwork elements are not all symmetrical which irks me but I want to remain faithful to the design.

Swatching with Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport yarn from my stash. I’ll go to Natural Stitches soon and get the correct colors.

Swatch complete! Now to wash, block and measure. Then comes the hard part, crunching the numbers.
7 sts and 9.75 8 rows = 1”. Measured again when swatch completely dried.

Size 1.5 for colorwork, size 1 for inner lining.

If I decide to knit this again (which I might do, actually): add a few plain rounds to top of the hat and lengthen the lining because the hat is a little too short.
