Notes

I am using all 20 of Diane Swaim’s Prairie Afghan solid blocks and putting a 2x2 variegated block in the middle. The middle block will have a white Kansas City Royals logo in it, to commemorate the 2015 World Series championship for my husband.

07/11/17 Began first block, #20 in powder blue. Completed 07/16/17.

09/16/17 Began second block, #16 in power blue. Completed 09/23/17

04/17/18 Began third block, #3 in Royal Blue. I hadn’t realized the yarn was heathered when I bought it. It’s blocking now, and I hope the design can overcome the distraction.

10/31/19 All blocks finished. KC Logo embroidered on center four-block sized section in variegated yarn. Decided to make a charcoal back for that block out of leftover yarn to hide the ugly ends.

12/05/19 Finished, including 10-ridge garter borders in Navy.

Each block has about 45 grams of yarn in it. The center block is the equivalent of four regular blocks. I used 660 yards or 300 grams of yarn in the border. The white KC used most of a 100 gram skein. Grand total 16 skeins:
24 blocks at 2 blocks per skein = 12 skeins.
Border = 3 skeins.
Duplicate stitch logo = 1 skein.
