Notes

A lot of people roll their eyes when you mention crocheted bikinis. I’ve wanted to make one for a long time, so I’ve decided to say to heck with the haters, I’m going for it. In fact, I’m making two at once.

So far, I like the fabric from the Pendenza a little better. Even though both are DK weight mercerized cotton, the Pendenza fabric is a bit more flexible and seems like it will be a bit more comfortable.

The bottoms were easy and quick but the top took a couple of tries to get the cups the size I liked and then to get the color change to work out the way I wanted it. I’m going to finish the green one next, but I think I’ll play with the decorative stitching. I really did like working with the Plymouth Pendenza.

On the set made with Tahki, I think it was harder to get a precise fit than the Pendenza. The fabric made with the Tahki is a bit stiffer. That said I love the colors. I used spike stitches instead of the embellishments in the pattern.
