This is such a clever pattern. I’m cal with a new friend who is a beginner crocheter and really wanted to make these. Beginners may need a little help getting through the shaping. I think this is a great project to get some experience with basic shaping and construction, without having to deal with a large piece.

The whole piece is worked in sc. I made the cuff with fdc, which I liked better than the standard starting chain.
