I’m on pause waiting for more yarn of my first color, so I didn’t make it very far. I’ve had to order the yarn from Paris - one problem with picking up something unusual and rare!
This shawl will be a square hap-style knitted with a garter lace stitch pattern in the middle and then a picked-up edging, not an edging with a picked-up middle section.

The dark accent yarn (1 skein of 2) has been washed and caked and is ready for knitting.

I’m finally taking this up again now that I have some impetus - this is Finn yarn, the featured wool of NYS&W this year. So I’m going to try to finish in time to submit as an entry! I’m picking up the edging now. But I may be out of #8 needles which could require an LYS visit to continue.

The shawl is coming together - with what feels like miles of edging. I’m a little concerned I won’t have enough yarn to finish the edging, in which case I’m not sure what I’ll do, and while I found someone to lend me a hap stretcher, I’m also worried mine is larger than the stretcher!

I had to rip out my edging and rows of darker yarn to cannibalize enough to finish the edging, but it’s done and blocked and ready to go, and more the size of a coverlet for a bed than an everyday-wear shawl…
