A first venture into Tunisian crochet.

I could not work the band as per pattern, so reverted to a rib stitch and guessed length. Hence the hat is a little out of gauge.

But tunisian crochet makes a very warm thick fabric despite a light yarn. It is also very comfortable to wear. Perhaps if doing again a more expensive yarn may give better results, eg Merino. Plus invest in better hooks!

A great pattern to practice the knit stitch and lots left from 1 skein.
