Notes

I used a 3.5mm hook, mostly because it felt better with the weight of the yarn, however this also meant that the shawl is slightly smaller than the pictures I have seen.
Very useful pictures and notes in the instructions which made checking progress easier. The pattern was perfect for someone like me who has a good grasp of the basic stitches but wanted to try something more adventurous. Be careful of stitch count, especially when off-roading starts after the first row 26. I started off well, but by rep 4 realised I had more “fans” on one side than on the other! Managed to disguise this when blocking.
I worked the yarn cake from the inside. Not sure I’d do that again - spent far too much of my life untangling hunks of yarn that spewed out from the middle.
Tassels made and added.

Update 14th Dec.
Decided shawl was too small so frogged the border and added a few extra rows up to 26. Then ran out yarn so added King Cole Bamboo Cotton fingering weight yarn in colour 1017 (plum) to make the border. I thought the plum colour toned well with the colours in Red Velvet Sunrise.
