Magic cast-on toe (as opposed to my standard short row toe) I love it! I have a feeling this is my new go-to toe. Started the toe on circ, changed to dpns (yay).

After toe was formed, knit 10 rows.

I needed 33 stitches for top of foot (pattern) and 32 for bottom. I knit 15, kfb of next stitch then knit 16 and bottom of foot. Then I did a full row of knit.

Started instep pattern as written. I did NOT flip the pattern. Yes this is upside down from the original pattern, but I like the way the ‘cables’ look this way.
This way, I see them more ‘cupped’ like the petals of a cherry blossom. Right side up, I think of shoulders/neck.
Psh, think that’s weird? Ask why I don’t ‘prefer’ green.

Also, for the first row I ‘tapered’ my purl columns on the first row by knitting the outside purl and purling the inside purl as normal. For the first row of instep I only have 4 purl stitches instead of 8.

Finished! These socks were a bit neglected :C I took them on vacation to Las Vegas in the beginning of Nov but they kinda just sat on the coffee table while I knit EVERYTHING ELSE for Christmas gifts ;P

Waiting on my sock blockers to arrive then better pics with a REAL camera. Promise!

How do I feel about the pattern? Easy! It’s a cute lace pattern, but not super lacey. <3 Charts!
