Made this for my friends’ third little red-headed baby. I thought the white-to-pink accents would be a fun “sun alert” for them.

I cast on 192 using long tail in the HiKoo. Changed to the regular merino and purled one row, worked about 10 even, then did a row of k1 k2tog around. Did one row of knit, then a row of k2tog around to get to 64. Knit even for 3 rows then changed to the HiKoo and knit 5 rows in reverse stockinette. Back to the regular yarn for about 5 inches, then did decreases for the top like any hat.

Crocheted the flower in HiKoo and stitched on. Abracadabra!
